What is HANDS to the Needy?
Grocery bags with a whole lot of heart.
HANDS to the Needy provides assistance to anyone living in Orange County, Florida — with special care for single mothers and their children, the unemployed, the physically and mentally challenged, the working poor and the elderly.
We offer food, clothing, toiletries and skills training to uplift people’s condition and help every neighbor become self-sustaining. The feeding program reaches about 300 families a month, and food is always given free of charge, no questions asked.
On each 2nd & 4th Friday distribution, families receive free groceries and frozen food — an ever-changing selection of fresh produce, bread, dairy, proteins and more, enough to fill the table for the week ahead.
